About:
A way in Newlyn Bay was done after a short course at the Newlyn School of Art. It followed a tough lockdown where we were more isolated than many and as a new mum who was in desperate need of connection, felt so alone. Getting away to Newlyn to paint was my first time travelling again, first time away from our daughter and a way to reconnect with others. I love being able to abstract the essence of a place and time through art. This picture is so symbolic of the calm after many storms and of freedom to travel, explore and reconnect with people and places I love.
