Abutilon

Abutilon is a flower/plant found in Chile - where my mother and her partner live. My mother and her partner have worked so hard to build a house, with beautiful gardens in a very hot and often dry climate. I remember enjoying the beautiful smells of the gardens under crystal clear skies where the stars lit up the sky and gardens below. My painting of this flower aims to capture the fragrance and atmosphere of that time, as well as the beautiful flowers that adorn their garden.
