Rowing under Kingston Bridge

Rowing under Kingston Bridge is a mixed media painting created with acrylic, charcoal, and Posca pens. It reflects countless moments by the river during my last five years living in Kingston. By the river, I've witnessed rowers showcasing their strength, coxswains shouting commands, the camaraderie of school boats, and older rowers enjoying a more tranquil view of the river alongside canal boats.

I aimed to capture this blend of energy through colour: the bold blue tones that depict calmness, while the pink subtly coming through the white carved bridge are symbolic of the passion and strength behind rowing.
